ABUJA'S RIVER STREETS

A themed collection of rivers.

Travelers, particularly Africa enthusiasts, might be surprised by a hidden world map in the streets of Abuja, Nigeria. Abuja’s affluent Maitama district boasts street names mirroring some of the world’s most iconic rivers – the Nile, Mississippi, Danube, and Limpopo, for example. Intriguingly, these very rivers are part of our ever-growing collection. While the word “river” itself isn’t always used, a keen eye will spot these global waterways woven into the urban landscape.

* Celebrated as a part of our collection.
